Introduction

You are the Director of Undergraduate Admissions Office. You just came out of a meeting with the Regional Workforce Development committee and need to get the attention of your university about increasing the number of students due to large number of Biomedical Engineers that are needed in the region. Your university has one of the best ranked Biomedical Engineering Programs in the nation and you have a high interest among high school students. Your job is to make sure that you can recruit the interested students or at least inform the majority who are undecided about what major to choose.

As one of the first activities you will speak in front of High Schools students about Biomedical Engineering. Try to explain what Biomedical Engineering is and give them interesting data like the “cool research in the area”, what graduates do, how much they earn, what the job market is like. Try to give as much information as possible so that they will have few questions since you only have a limited time and you will speak in front of other schools later on during the day.
