About CfIB

Mission of the Center for Integrated Bioinformatics is to transform genomic, proteomic and clinical data into innovation in disease modeling and thereby create a distinct bioinformatics niche for Drexel University.

The proposed Center will ignite research and education in computational biomedicine and biomedical informatics at Drexel University by developing a computational orchestra skilled not only in biology and medicine but also in the use of mathematical modeling, network analysis, supervised machine learning, clustering, pattern recognition, signal and image processing, and biostatistics.

Center Functions are as follows:

1) Develop and maintain a website showcasing bioinformatics and computational medicine activities at Drexel

2) Facilitate university-wide education and training in bioinformatics

3) Develop Drexel Computational Orchestra for Biomedical Computations

4) Create a service core

5) Seek external support for these activities
